Bitcoin's White Paper Turns 16!

On October 31, 2008, a person under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto published the "white paper" that laid the foundation for Bitcoin and marked the beginning of a new era in the financial world.

In January 2009, the first block of the Bitcoin network was mined — the “genesis block” or “block #0.”

Since then, despite the emergence of numerous other cryptocurrencies, BTC has remained the undisputed leader in the market.
